In the early 1980s Jill Karlin was commissioned to paint a series of large watercolors for
Presidential suites of  The Anatol in Dallas, Texas, and The Riitz Carlton in Atlanta, Georgia.  The
designer loved Jill's watercolors of nudes, but asked that she use the same flowing lines and light
hand but of flowers.  Jill had the honor and pleasure of creating these large floral watercolors in
the Wellesley, Massachusetts greenhouses of Mr.Walter Hunnewell, the director of Horticulture
Magazine.  Over a few years Jill painted the rare and exotic orchids that Mr. Hunnewell had
collected over his many years of study and collecting.  Some of Jill's watercolors are as large as
4'x10'.  These splendid paintings grace homes, and businesses world wide.
